About The Role

Our Corporate Positioning and Insights practice seeks a talented, versatile Content Strategist with 3-5 years of experience to join the team in our New York, Chicago or Washington, D.C. office. We're looking for a creative storyteller who can shape content development and craft compelling copy — someone who combines strong writing instincts with strategic thinking to ensure content aligns with brand strategy, business objectives, and audience needs across a range of clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both creative vision and analytical rigor to every project. You'll work closely with creative, research, and digital teams to bring content strategies to life. It's an opportunity to grow within a collaborative team — with mentorship from senior strategists and a clear path to more ownership as you build your career in integrated digital and creative work for leading brands.

What You'll Do

  • Craft content strategies and compelling copy that align with business objectives and resonate with target audiences across a range of clients

  • Develop, write, and edit content across multiple channels — including websites, blogs, and social media — ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and message

  • Help manage content calendars, ensuring alignment to strategy across all relevant digital platforms

  • Conduct content and competitor audits and develop audience personas to inform strategy and identify market trends

  • Present ideas, strategies, and content recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — creative, research, data analysis, digital, and subject matter experts — to ensure cohesive content execution and storytelling

  • Use performance metrics to continually refine content strategies, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and improvement

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, AI tools, and SEO/AEO guidelines to ensure content remains competitive, relevant, and discoverable

How You’ll Grow

We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. We aim to promote continuous learning and individual skills development through on-the-job learning, self-guided professional development courses and certifications. You’ll be assigned a dedicated coach to mentor, guide and support you through regular coaching sessions and serve as an advocate for your professional growth.

As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, or a related field

  • Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field

  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills across multiple mediums

  • Working knowledge of content marketing tactics, including SEO, AEO, email marketing, and web analytics

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
