Role Description:

We’re looking for a strong content writer who will publish high-quality SEO content in the domains of web security, privacy compliance, and fraud detection. Candidates with an interest in security/tech will be preferred as you will spend considerable time writing on these topics. This contractor will also support Organic Reddit marketing initiatives and offer light support with LinkedIn engagement.

Our domain cside.com already has established authority and we are ranking highly for some target terms, but we need additional writers to accelerate our publishing rhythm.

Role Type: Freelance / Contract / Part-Time (3 Months+) (10-20 hrs/week)

Experience Level: 2+ years preferred, but will consider hungry, fast-learning juniors

What You’ll Work On1. SEO Content Writing (Primary Responsibility) (60%)

You’ll write blogs and topic pieces related to:

  • Web security & client-side protection

  • PCI DSS, privacy laws, and compliance

  • Fraud detection, device fingerprinting, payment risk

  • AI bot detection

You will receive:

  • A list of topics + content briefs (for some articles)

  • Other topics you will create the full article end-to-end

We expect this to take ~8-10 hours a week.

We have an internal writing process built on LLM chunking and E-E-A-T principles. The articles you write will be a mix of BOFU (bottom of funnel) and MOFU or educational articles. These are some of our recent posts:

2. Guest Post Content Writing (20%)

We already have a list of publications we collaborate with. You will:

  • Write 750+ word guest posts. These are usually opinion pieces or broader thought leadership.

  • Place links strategically in guest posts to strengthen our backlink authority.

3. Reddit Engagement (15%)

You will help extend our content into community channels:

  • Repurposing blog posts into Reddit-optimized discussions

  • Writing original non-promotional posts for relevant subreddits

  • Leaving thoughtful, value-driven comments on industry threads

  • Understanding what is appropriate for each community (no spam)

This is content-first, not a community manager task.

4. LinkedIn Engagement (Light Administrative Task) (5%)

You will:

  • Like and comment on posts from a curated list of industry profiles

This work is intentionally lightweight, content writing is the core focus.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years writing content for B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or a technical product (or junior-level with exceptional potential)

  • Can write SEO optimized sections with clarity, structure, and technical accuracy

  • Your copywriting has flavor. Yes we encourage LLMs to speed up our processes, but the final writing shouldn’t be bland or robotic.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your writing quality

  • Comfortable quickly learning unfamiliar technical topics

  • Native-level written English

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge or interest in web security, privacy compliance, or payment fraud

  • Experience with Reddit organic growth

  • Basic HTML skills to create HTML snippets (we use Ghost as our CMS)

What Success Looks Like
  • Produce 3–6 high-quality blogs/month (1500+ words)

  • Produce 2-4 guest posts per month

  • Repurpose articles into thoughtful Reddit posts

  • Gain a deep understanding of our product and space

  • Operate with autonomy and consistent communication

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. A brief intro about your background

  2. Links to relevant writing samples

  3. Any experience you have with security, privacy, compliance, or technical topics

  4. Your compensation rates (do you charge hourly? On monthly retainer?)

During the hiring process, you will be asked to complete a homework assessment.
