What we offer
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
We are hiring a Controller, Investment Operations to own accounting and financial reporting for Ondo’s tokenized products (OUSG, USDY, OGM).
This role is responsible for financial statements, internal controls, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance across all funds. You will operate as the senior accounting owner for these products, making independent accounting decisions and ensuring accuracy across high-volume trading environments.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and scaling accounting infrastructure. You will take ownership from external providers, strengthen processes, and help design systems that can support increasing trade volume, new products (margin, perpetuals, derivatives), and institutional-grade reporting.
- Own end-to-end accounting for Ondo’s investment products
- Review daily NAV calculations and validate fund administrator outputs
- Oversee P&L reporting, performance calculations, and reconciliations (cash, positions, pricing, corporate actions)
- Ensure accuracy across high-volume trade flows and complex financial instruments
- Manage accounting for fees, expenses, and capital activity (subscriptions, redemptions, distributions)
- Prepare and review financial statements for all funds and share classes
- Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Ensure consistent and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as the primary accounting decision-maker for day-to-day issues and edge cases
- Coordinate and support annual audits with external auditors
- Manage tax reporting and partner with external tax advisors
- Support regulatory filings and compliance requirements
- Prepare investor statements and reporting packages
- Oversee capital activity reporting and investor communications
- Support investor due diligence requests
- Manage relationships with fund administrators and accounting service providers
- Monitor deliverables and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Escalate issues and drive improvements in external processes
- Help lead implementation and scaling of Geneva (or similar fund accounting systems)
- Improve accounting workflows to support increasing trade volume and complexity
- Identify and address operational bottlenecks as systems scale
- Reduce reliance on manual processes and improve automation
- Partner with investment operations, legal, compliance, and finance teams
- Provide accounting input on new product development and operational design
- Support expansion into new products including margin, perpetual futures, and derivatives
- 10+ years of experience in fund accounting or investment accounting within asset management
- Experience in hedge funds, multi-strategy platforms, or trading environments with exposure to high-volume or systematic trading environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund structures, and financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives)
- Experience with NAV calculations, reconciliations, and investor reporting
- Experience coordinating audits and working with external auditors and tax advisors
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make accounting judgments
- Experience working in environments with meaningful trade volume or operational complexity
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Experience with Geneva or similar fund accounting systems
- Familiarity with OMS/PMS systems and fund administration workflows
- Exposure to blockchain, DeFi, or tokenized asset structures
- Experience building or improving accounting processes and systems
- Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
- Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
- Remote-first team across many countries — You will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices.
- A+ colleagues — Our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap.
- Best-in-class investors — We are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures.
