About the Role

Operating in the US and China, we help over 200 companies streamline their office meal delivery experience with our in-house logistics platform. As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a Controller to build scalable financial operations and ensure fiscal discipline across geographies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly/quarterly/year-end close process and deliver accurate financial statements (GAAP-compliant)
  • Establish and manage internal controls, including spend approvals, cash flow reporting, and audit preparation
  • Collaborate closely with our China finance team to manage multi-entity consolidations, intercompany transactions, and FX accounting
  • Ensure compliance with US tax regulations, working with external consultants where needed
  • Oversee and streamline accounting systems and workflows (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks)
  • Build financial reporting packages for internal and investor use, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash runway
  • Support payroll, vendor payments, and AP/AR operations across the US, China, and the Philippines
  • Act as a key finance partner to the CEO and leadership team on budgeting and strategic planning
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller
  • Prior experience in startups or high-growth environments (ideally Series A–C stage)
  • Strong command of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and international accounting
  • Proven ability to manage cross-border finance operations, including intercompany and FX considerations
  • Systems-oriented with hands-on experience using accounting and reporting tools
  • Fluent in Mandarin (required) — must be able to collaborate directly with finance teams and stakeholders in China
  • CPA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred
