Zero Overview

Zero is a creative studio founded in NYC. We have offices in New York, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles, as well as working virtually across the world. We intend to create an environment where multidisciplinary teams can solve problems for progressive and contemporary brands. We aim to constantly re-evaluate what it’s like to work with a studio and provide a high degree of value and service to our clients and our team.

Our studio seeks an individual with a diverse creative background and the ability to operate with a wide array of personalities (both internally and client-side). We believe that process is at the center of our success and are continually seeking to evolve ours to get the most out of each engagement. The unique and complex problems our clients face call for fresh and strategic thinkers.

 Position Overview

As a Copywriter at Zero, your primary focus is to develop thoughtful, original ideas that are on strategy.

Conceptualize the emotional “why” behind brands and how to express it across all creative media. Your specialty is written and verbal communication, but as a Strategist it’s imperative to think beyond your medium, developing a platform and brand world that is extendable across disciplines. Develop the persona, set the voice & tone, and provide thoughtful copy explorations that are actionable against brand goals, reflective of the target audience, and culturally aware.

From naming to marketing email subject lines and global ad campaigns, you’re responsible for developing copy that speaks the brand’s language and offers a fresh new perspective within the brand’s industry. Whether developing the brand tone or working within a set of established guidelines, you are able to plug into the brand mindset and articulate it. Impeccable attention to detail, understanding, and skill as it relates to grammar and spelling are required. Ability to modulate your voice to fit a variety of personas/brands is a must.

With a focus on the digital landscape, you are required to stay up to date on fast-moving trend cycles and culturally relevant topics to understand what will resonate with brands online and help you succeed in this role. You have a natural affinity and passion for the internet and will consistently bring this awareness and thinking to the team at large.

You’ll be expected to approach the day-to-day with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset. We believe the traits of kindness, respect, and empathy are vital to the role, and a high degree of collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking will be key to success.
