As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for various communication strategies and activities that support the Internal Communications Team’s goal of informing, connecting and engaging Hagerty team members around the world. You will play an integral role in key functions including managing the Hagerty intranet, tracking and analyzing key success metrics, supporting live video productions and managing content from idea through distribution.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Create and deliver internal communications content, including email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations.
  • Maintain the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
  • Coordinate internal events and other initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen the company culture.
  • Support live production of internal events including town halls and livestreams.
  • Drive and support employee engagement with surveys, quizzes, live events, team member stories and other two-way internal channels.

This might describe you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or other related field.
  • Familiar with O365.
  • Practiced writer.
  • On time and on budget.
  • Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative.
  • Proven related experience.

Over and above

  • Familiar with the Adobe suite and live video production.
  • Experience with analytics and making assessments based off available data.
  • Flexible hours and remote working options.

Other things to note

  • This position is open to U.S. remote work. However, team members who reside within 20 miles of the Traverse City headquarters will follow a hybrid schedule, working from the office three days per week.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
