The Corporate Development Director plays a critical role in shaping Outreach’s long-term growth strategy through strategic investments, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual contributor role operates at the intersection of Finance, Product, Engineering, GTM, and Executive Leadership to evaluate opportunities that accelerate innovation, strengthen market leadership, and support scalable growth.
The strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented Corporate Development Director will lead the evaluation and execution on potential acquisitions and strategic investment initiatives. This role will work closely with our product organization to create a strategy for build, buy, or partner decisions. They will drive the identification, evaluation, negotiation and integration of acquisitions and partnerships that accelerate company growth and expand our market leadership.
Reporting to the CFO, this leader will play a critical role in shaping corporate strategy, evaluating new markets, and executing complex transactions from sourcing through post-close integration.
Location: Remote (PST hours required)
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Define and develop Outreach’s corporate development strategy aligned with long-term growth objectives
- Identify acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities that expand product capabilities, market presence, and technical differentiation
- Conduct market landscape analysis to inform build vs buy decisions
- Lead end-to-end M&A execution including target sourcing, valuation modeling, diligence coordination, negotiation, and deal structuring
- Build detailed financial models and present investment recommendations to executive leaders and BoD
- Drive post-merger integration planning and execution
- Ensure cultural alignment and operational continuity
- Establish synergy targets and track performance post-close
Our Vision of You
9+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity or strategic finance
Proven track record leading complex M&A transactions from sourcing through integration
Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise
Ability to operate strategically while driving tactical execution
Experience presenting to executive teams and BoDs
Data driven and highly analytical
High integrity and discretion-minded
Experience in high-growth or technology-driven environments preferred
