Corporate Finance Manager partners with country leadership to drive financial performance and enable business decisions through actionable insights. The role leads key BPA activities and owns core corporate finance topics including cash management, treasury, funds flow, and financial governance and compliance. Success requires strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence outcomes through clear analysis, negotiation, and disciplined execution of financial processes and policies.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
BPA and Business Partnering
Support country leadership with financial analysis, including Risks and Opportunities, cost analysis and control, and tracking of corrective actions.
Drive performance through value-added analyses across sales trends, functional expenses, other income and expenses, impairment reviews and management cash flow, among other analyses.
Partner with key stakeholders to enable constructive, fact-based decision-making and challenge business strategies through data-driven insights.
Lead with the BPA team the development of budgets and financial forecasts for global, regional, and country planning across Business Units.
Simplify processes to focus effort on the highest-value activities.
Cash Management
Lead discussions with top customers to reach mutually beneficial outcomes on financial arrangements, leveraging alternative tools such as confirming and factoring when needed.
Connect Order to Cash, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to formulate a unified collections and customer strategy.
Treasury Management
Collaborate closely with Global Corporate Treasury to anticipate external scenarios and potential impacts on collections.
Define and execute local treasury strategy and intercompany payments in line with Novartis policies.
Lead negotiations and escalations with financial institutions to secure favorable terms when required.
Funds Flow
Lead profitability discussions, translating overall business performance into expected statutory EBIT.
Assess and implement strategies to mitigate funds flow risks in the country.
Update transfer prices to reflect local business reality, funds flow strategy, and target profitability.
Corporate Compliance
Provide insightful financial analysis on a regular and ad hoc basis.
Ensure timely implementation and adherence to financial control procedures and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 8-10 years of financial experience, with a detailed understanding of BPA processes and tools.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on innovation and forward-thinking.
Proven negotiation skills and fast thinking.
Adaptative and proven fast problem solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in financial compliance and controls.
Languages: Fluent English
Education & Qualification:
A university degree in Economics, Finance/Accounting, or Business is required.
An MBA in Finance is desirable.
This role requires strategic focus, adaptability, and a command of financial management. An ideal candidate is able to simplify and communicate complex financial information and adapt to the changing business environment.
