Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Conduct legal research on global regulations impacting cloud software, data privacy, and insurance technology.

  • Assist in mapping regulatory requirements in key international markets to ensure company-wide compliance.

  • Draft memorandums summarizing regulatory updates and their potential business impact.

  • Support the legal team in managing litigation matters and disputes, including fact-gathering, document review, and case file management.

  • Research and provide guidance on labor and employment laws in various jurisdictions; assist in updating HR policies and employee handbooks.

  • Handle confidential legal matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Review non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other commercial contracts as needed.

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and InfoSec on legal-related projects.

What you’ll bring

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • High level of integrity and discretion.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear business advice.

Preferred

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited JD program (rising 2L or 3L preferred), or a pre-law student with a strong academic record.

  • Interest in technology law, corporate governance, or employment law.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $52,000 - $78,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
