Job Description

The Cost Engineer is to coordinate with project team and engineering consultants to prepare the project cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning processes. This role involves collaborating and challenging project teams to provide cost effective estimates in accordance with schedule and execution plan.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the preparation of project cost estimates, reliable control of project costs throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Develop cost estimates, analyzing cost variances, and ensuring that projects are completed within approved budgets. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support effective decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, quantity surveying, finance, or a related field.
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in cost estimate, project cost control, quantity surveying within the oil and gas sector, energy sector and infrastructure sector.
