Boeing Canada Winnipeg (BCW) is seeking an Experienced or Senior Cost Estimator (Level 3 or Level 4), reporting to the Finance Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba office.
The Cost Estimator will contribute to the development of estimates across Boeing Commercial products to support the Composite Manufacturing at Boeing Winnipeg business unit. This position will work closely with Engineering and other functional organizations to create estimates and businesses cases for manufacturing of commercial products. This position will have high visibility and exposure to a variety of critical programs to support impactful business decisions.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates from technical requirements through the study, design, build and support stages for airplane part manufacturing
  • Evaluates and develops business cases/proposal for manufacturing processes, parts and equipment
  • Works closely with technical teams, business operations and other organizations to understand the project or study and develops cost impacts
  • Ensuring alignment between estimates and financial budgets and forecasts
  • Contributes to the development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured database of estimates, business cases and prices
  • Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals
  • Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Winnipeg, Manitoba location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Level 3: 3+ years of experience in Estimating & Pricing and/or Procurement Financial Analysis
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, creating business cases, and presenting results
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Level 4: 5+ years of experience in Estimating & Pricing and/or Procurement Financial Analysis
  • 1+ year of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • Experience working in a technical, operational or manufacturing environment with the ability to translate that knowledge into financial opportunities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects independently in an environment with competing priorities
