JD: Creative Director, Video & AI Content🎯 About the Role

We’re building tools that expand what’s creatively possible — and we need someone who wants to push them to their limits. If you’ve spent years obsessing over cuts, color, pacing, and story, and you’ve been quietly (or loudly) exploring what AI can do for your craft, this might be your seat.

We’re not just looking for a creator. We’re looking for a visionary who can direct, edit, and own projects end-to-end, and push the visual identity of OpenArt into territory that inspires the general public.

🎨 About OpenArt

OpenArt is a leading AI Creative Platform for visual storytelling, used by millions worldwide. We’re building the next generation of creative tools powered by cutting-edge AI, enabling anyone to create videos, images, visuals, characters, and stories with unprecedented speed and imagination. We believe the future of creativity is AI-native, and we’re shaping that future.

🚀 Why Join OpenArt

Own the creative vision at a category-leading AI company. Shape the full video output of one of the fastest-growing AI platforms in the world, across short-form social, music videos, brand stories, and beyond.

Operate at the frontier of AI and creativity. Use and influence the very tools OpenArt is building — not as an observer, but as a practitioner helping define what AI-native filmmaking looks like.

Direct impact on brand and culture. Your work won’t sit in a review queue. It will go out into the world and represent what OpenArt stands for.

Hyper-growth and huge market opportunity. OpenArt is one of the largest AI video generation platforms globally, with millions of monthly active users and partnerships with top model players including Google, OpenAI, and Kling.

🧩 Requirements

A real body of work. Years of professional film or video production with a portfolio you’re proud to share.

Strong directing and editing instincts. Range, taste, and storytelling depth across formats.

Genuine experience with AI content creation tools. Not just awareness — actual, hands-on use.

U.S.-based, full-time in the Bay Area. This role is based out of our Bay Area office.

🌟 Nice to Have

Experience across formats. Music videos, short films, branded content, or social-first work that connects with audiences at scale.

Background in creator-driven or influencer content. You understand what makes content travel on social platforms.

Experience leading creative teams. You’ve mentored directors, editors, or producers and know how to set a creative bar without micromanaging.

🛠 What You'll Do

Own the creative vision. Drive OpenArt’s full video output — short-form social, music videos, brand stories, and whatever the moment calls for.

Direct and edit end-to-end. Take projects from concept to final cut. You’re hands-on, not just in the room.

Partner cross-functionally. Collaborate closely with in-house creative directors, product, and marketing teams to translate what OpenArt is into something people feel.

Raise the bar continuously. Set and elevate the standard for everything we put out into the world.

💰 Compensation

• Competitive TC including base salary, bonus, and equity (based on experience).

• Meaningful equity ownership in what you build.

🌍 Work Setup

• Bay Area required (full-time, on-site)

• Visa sponsorship available
