Miami Christmas Lights (MCL) is seeking a highly creative Creative Experience Designer to develop visually compelling lighting concepts for commercial properties, municipalities, and immersive holiday installations.

This role bridges sales, design, and visualization. The Creative Experience Designer will translate project parameters from the sales team into imaginative lighting concepts, develop visual renderings and presentation materials, and collaborate with our graphic design team to produce client-ready proposals and marketing visuals.

The ideal candidate is both creative and practical—capable of designing memorable environments while working within real-world constraints such as site conditions, budgets, and installation logistics.

This position plays a key role in helping our sales team present compelling concepts that elevate client presentations, increase project value, and create visually stunning holiday environments.

This role reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager and oversees the Graphic Designer.

The position is remote-friendly, provided the candidate can collaborate effectively with the sales and marketing team and work from detailed site documentation provided by the sales team.


Key Responsibilities:  

 Concept Development & Experiential Design   

  • Translate project information from the sales team into creative lighting concepts and immersive holiday environments

  • Develop ideas for walk-through installations, sponsor activations, and experiential lighting displays

  • Identify creative opportunities that go beyond standard catalog product selections

  • Design installations that create visually impactful guest experiences and social media moments

 Rendering & Visualization   

  • Produce high-quality visual renderings and concept mockups that help clients visualize the final installation

  • Create presentation visuals for proposals and sales presentations

  • Develop concept imagery that enhances the sales team’s ability to communicate design ideas to clients

 Sales Collaboration   

  • Collaborate with the sales team to interpret project goals, site conditions, and client expectations

  • Participate in project concept discussions after site visits

  • Help refine design direction prior to client proposal presentations

 Catalog & Product Visual Standards   

  • Review product catalog offerings to ensure alignment with MCL’s premium visual brand

  • Recommend additions, removals, or improvements to catalog items based on aesthetics and design impact

  • Identify new lighting elements or installation approaches that enhance visual storytelling and guest engagement

 Creative Oversight of Marketing Assets   

  • Provide creative direction for visual marketing materials including:

    • one-pagers

    • proposal decks

    • sponsorship presentations

    • promotional visuals

    • email marketing graphics

  • Ensure all visual materials align with MCL’s premium brand positioning

 Graphic Designer Leadership   

  • Provide direction and creative oversight to the Graphic Designer

  • Review and approve final visual assets prior to client presentation or publication

  • Maintain consistency across design, marketing, and proposal visuals

 Project Visualization Workflow   

  • Work from site documentation provided by the sales team, including:

    • photos

    • drone imagery

    • measurements

    • site maps

  • Translate site documentation into compelling visual concepts without requiring site visits



Requirements

 Qualifications:     

  • 5+ years of experience in experiential design, environmental design, lighting design, event design, themed entertainment, or architectural visualization

  • Portfolio demonstrating environmental or experiential design concepts

Technical Skills  

Experience with one or more visualization tools such as:

  • SketchUp

  • Blender

  • Lumion

  • Twinmotion

  • Cinema 4D

  • Unreal Engine

Additional skills:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Strong visual storytelling ability

  • Ability to translate creative ideas into client-ready visuals

 Preferred Experience   

Experience designing environments or installations for:

  • themed attractions

  • events or festivals

  • hospitality or public spaces

  • experiential marketing activations

  • holiday or seasonal displays
