Creative Strategist

Location: Remote

Reports to: Creative Director

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $70,000–$90,000 based on experience

About the Role

Matchnode is a paid social agency running performance advertising for DTC and healthcare clients on Meta and TikTok. We're looking for a Creative Strategist who can read performance data, decide what to test next, and write briefs that actually get great work made.

You'll own the creative strategy layer across a book of clients — running two-week sprint cycles, managing ad approvals daily, and using AdNova to drive every brief you write. This role sits between the data and the designers. You're the one who figures out what we should make and why.

What You'll Do
  • Write creative briefs every sprint using performance data from AdNova

  • Manage the ad approvals workflow daily — feedback, status, QA before anything goes to the client

  • Write UGC briefs and review creator scripts for clients on the UGC package

  • Join weekly client calls and keep internal status docs current

  • Use Claude (AI) as part of your daily workflow for briefs, hooks, and brand context

What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years in paid social creative strategy, ideally in direct response or performance marketing

  • Strong grasp of Meta and TikTok best practices — formats, hooks, rapid iteration

  • Can write a brief a designer or creator can execute without follow-up questions

  • Comfortable in performance data and knows how to turn it into a creative direction

  • Process-disciplined — can hold a creative opinion and still move work forward

  • Design background helpful for creative judgment, but you won't be making the ads

  • Comfortable with AI tools as a real part of your workflow

Bonus Points
  • Agency background, especially performance or growth

  • Health or wellness client experience

  • UGC or creator workflow familiarity

Interview Process

Includes a live creative assessment, you'll work through a brief from a real data set in real time.

How to Apply

Submit your resume, a short cover letter, and a creative portfolio of briefs, ads or paid social work you've done with context on your role.
