About Curology:

Curology's mission is to make effective, personalized skincare accessible.

We were founded by dermatologists who believe everyone should have access to skincare products that actually work. Today, our licensed dermatology providers have helped millions of patients across all 50 states make that mission a reality.

We combine expert medical care with personalized prescription formulas and dermatologist-developed skincare essentials to deliver science-backed solutions that meet people where they are. Join us in our mission to transform skin health and enhance lives—one patient at a time.

Mission of the Role:

The mission of the CRM Manager - Contractor is to strategize and execute high-performing CRM and Lifecycle Marketing campaigns end to end, to deepen our customer relationships and prevent lapse. The work spans channel and segmentation strategies, writing copy and briefing to a designer, project management, building the campaign or journey hands-on in our ESP Iterable when needed, and reporting on results and sharing insights.

Non-campaign work may include working with Analytics or Engineering to establish dashboards or data feeds into Iterable or representing the Lifecycle team in a cross-functional environment.

Essential Functions and Impact Areas:

Campaign Strategy & Segmentation

  • Develop segmentation and channel strategies for each CRM campaign assigned, translating lifecycle and business goals into clear audience definitions.
  • Define messaging strategy in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring each campaign ladders up to broader lifecycle goals.
  • Refine segmentation logic on an ongoing basis based on campaign performance and shifts in customer lifecycle stage.

Creative Direction & Approvals

  • Write copy and develop creative briefs for graphic designers, translating campaign strategy into clear, actionable creative direction.
  • Review and critique creative deliverables against brand, messaging, and strategy goals, iterating with designers until execution meets the bar.
  • Manage the approval process across stakeholders, securing sign-off on copy, creative, and audience definitions before build begins.

Campaign Build & Deployment (Iterable)

  • Build and launch email and SMS campaigns and automated journeys hands-on in Iterable, including template setup, audience application, and trigger logic. The team includes other resources to assist with build however you will need to build your own some of the time.
  • Own execution quality — rendering checks, personalization tokens, and data feed accuracy — so every send is correct and on time.
  • Maintain a campaign calendar that keeps strategy, creative, and build work moving in lockstep.

Performance Reporting & Optimization

  • Track campaign performance (open rate, CTR, conversion rate, revenue per send) and translate results into recommendations for the next cycle of segmentation, messaging, or creative.
  • Concept and architect A/B tests on messaging, creative, and user experience, share results, and apply to future campaigns.

Other Responsibilities

  • Work with Analytics or Engineering to establish dashboards or data feeds into Iterable
  • Represent the Lifecycle team in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in CRM or lifecycle marketing, ideally at a direct-to-consumer or subscription business, with ownership spanning strategy, creative, and hands-on execution.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying campaigns in Iterable (strongly preferred) or a comparable ESP such as Klaviyo or Braze, including segmentation, templates, and QA.
  • Experience writing creative briefs and copy, and giving structured, actionable feedback to designers.
  • Comfort analyzing campaign performance data (open rate, CTR, conversion, revenue per send) and applying insights to future campaigns.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodology for messaging, creative, and send strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent hands-on CRM/lifecycle experience will be considered in place of a degree.

Hourly Rate: $70-$90 based on experience
