QUALIFICATIONS
- Post Secondary Education
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (automotive/manufacturing preferred)
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Understanding of BOMs, production environment, and supplier manufacturing processes is an asset
- Experience with RFQ processes, cost breakdowns, and supplier quoting is an advantage
- Occasional travel to visit Vendors may be required

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
- Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with Magna procurement procedures
- Track supplier deliveries to ensure on-time performance and support issue resolution (shortages, delays, premium freight)
- Support sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier comparisons, and cost analysis (piece price, tooling, logistics)
- Assist in supplier negotiations focused on cost reduction, payment terms, and contract compliance
- Maintain accurate pricing, supplier data, and purchase records within ERP/MRP systems
- Monitor inventory levels and support production requirements to prevent line disruptions
- Collaborate with engineering and program teams on part changes, new launches, and supplier transitions
- Support supplier performance tracking (delivery, quality, cost) and escalate issues as needed
- Analyze market trends and raw material fluctuations (e.g., aluminum, steel) to support cost management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Magna's procurement policies, customer requirements, and automotive standards (IATF, ISO)
- Act as the primary security subject matter expert for CTPAT in the division
- Implement and manage the CTPAT program within their assigned division
- Ensure local processes comply with CBP minimum security criteria
- Coordinate team members to ensure the correct implementation and follow-up of the program
- Schedule and coordinate internal audits
- Ensure proper document control with respect to CTPAT requirements
- Update the required information on the CTPAT portal in a timely manner
- Send the required ASPR documents for review and approval to the Group Trade Compliance Manager & Magna's Director of Border Security and Asset Protection
- Participate in cross-divisional initiatives and standardization efforts
- Escalate risks, gaps, and resource needs through the functional reporting line
