Tell me about my job. 

There are no pinch hitters here. As a capSpire Technical Consultant, it’s up to you. That means you’ll have the opportunity to take on a variety of considerable challenges – and grow exponentially along the way – in a client-facing environment. Your role will involve designing and delivering technology solutions to clients in the energy and commodity trading industries. When you’re not busy being a solution all-star, you’ll work alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge, giving you a chance to broaden your skillset and expertise.

The Non-Negotiables:  

  • 5+ years of experience in validating software solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements including strong industry knowledge
  • Proven experience working with RightAngle in a technical capacity.
  • Ability to understand supply chain, commodity lifecycles, and financial systems and how they help solve complex business problems for specific markets.
  • Ability to validate software solutions to meet business needs and ensure quality implementation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to think through complex scenarios.
  • Experience with training and enabling junior team members
  • Good understanding and experience in incorporating software quality assurance across different stages of Software Development Life cycle
  • Experience in a professional services consultancy (could be a software house/vendor, consultancy), whether tier one consultancy or boutique IT consultancy.
  • Experience or familiarity with ASP.Net/C# applications or a similar language  and components using SQL Server/Oracle preferably in the energy and/or financial sectors
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
 Job Responsibilities:
  • Create technical solutions for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. This can come in the form of helping with a system implementation, upgrade or enhancement.
  • Build design documents.
  • Contribute to the development of Object Oriented system designs.
  • Ensure proper software design for scalability, robustness, maintainability, and integration with other components and systems. 
  • Participate in validation of test cases
  • Gain an understanding of front, mid and back offices to help properly help capSpire meet client business needs.
  • Strong customer focus, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Be able to speak directly with users and solicit requirements where necessary.
