Stratus, deriving from the Latin term meaning 'layer', offers an advanced set of MEP specific solutions that seamlessly layer across a contractor's entire workflow from design to fabrication to installation. Our team of seasoned industry experts, skilled technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs understands that fabrication does not occur in isolation, and increasingly, it may not happen within your own fabrication shop. Through close relationships with our customers—who include some of the most innovative and largest MEP contractors—we have developed a suite of Stratus tools to digitize, automate, and optimize piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical contracting. Stratus provides the software layer an MEP Contractor needs to optimize profits with true "Data Driven Contracting."

The Customer Marketing Manager turns happy customers into stories, events, and messaging that help us retain, grow, and win business. You will partner closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to find advocates, run customer events, and feed the voice of the customer back to Product Marketing and Demand Generation.

This is a remote role with approximately quarterly travel.

What you'll do

  • Customer events: Plan and run customer lunch-and-learns, including topics, speakers, invitations, logistics, follow-up, and attendance and feedback reporting.
  • Case studies: Identify candidates with CSMs, interview customers, and write and publish case studies that show measurable results.
  • CSM partnership: Meet regularly with CSMs to surface advocates, upcoming wins, and renewal or expansion moments where customer marketing can help.
  • Product newsletter: Own the monthly customer product newsletter, from gathering updates with Product Marketing through writing, sending, and measuring it.
  • Voice of the customer: Capture customer quotes, themes, and new messaging ideas, and pass them to Product Marketing and Demand Generation for use in campaigns, web copy, and sales materials.
  • Advocacy program: Keep a simple, current list of customer advocates (references, speakers, case study and quote participants) and the permissions we hold for each.
  • Reporting: Track engagement, event attendance, content usage, and influence on retention and pipeline, and share results with Meredith.
  • Community manager: post to, monitor and engage with customers on the Stratus community site. Generate insights to be shared back with product and marketing.
  • Product usage: support usage targets by creating in-app content and analyzing user behavior patterns for features across the product suite.

What we're looking for

  • 2–4 years in customer marketing, product marketing, or content marketing, ideally in B2B.
  • Strong writer and interviewer who can turn a customer conversation into a clear, compelling story.
  • Organized project manager who can run several events and deliverables at once.
  • Comfortable working with CSMs, sales, and product teams, and building trust with customers.
  • Experience with email platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and a CRM; familiarity with customer reference tools is a plus.

Success in the first year looks like

  • A repeatable lunch-and-learn program running on a set cadence.
  • A pipeline of case studies in progress and a library of published stories.
  • The monthly newsletter sent on time with steady open and click rates.
  • A regular flow of customer quotes and messaging insights that Demand Generation uses in campaigns.
