Graphite  Financial is a growing boutique finance, accounting, tax, and strategy firm (www.graphitefinancial.com) built to help startup and high-growth companies scale efficiently and sustainably. Graphite Financial is redefining the “finance department” for early-stage companies and VC-backed startups. We deliver high-caliber accounting and finance leadership and support to entrepreneurs and management teams building scalable, high-growth companies. Our clients are actively managing cash burn, measuring performance, reporting to investors, making capital allocation decisions, and preparing for fundraising. All of that takes expertise and time that founders don’t have and can’t afford to hire for. Graphite bridges the gap with flexible, fixed-fee support packages that provide fractional leadership and operational support from CFOs, Controllers, FP&A Managers, and Tax leaders.

The Customer Marketing Specialist builds the bridge between Customer Success and Marketing. You’ll own communications that keep clients informed, run initiatives that encourage deeper adoption, and capture the insights that showcase real outcomes. Your work will directly influence Net Revenue Retention (NRR) by turning satisfied clients into active advocates and repeat buyers.

This role blends strategy, storytelling, and customer empathy. You’ll use data, content, and community to strengthen relationships and create an experience that feels equal parts helpful, human, and high impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Education & Engagement — Plan and manage newsletters, webinars, guides, and resources that help clients get the most value from Graphite’s services.
  • Expansion Programs — Build campaigns that identify and nurture expansion opportunities in partnership with Customer Success and Sales.
  • Advocacy & Storytelling — Lead testimonial, referral, and case study programs that spotlight client success and reinforce trust in the market.
  • Feedback Loops — Gather customer insights and feedback to inform marketing strategy, service positioning, and future offerings.
  • Lifecycle Communications — Manage targeted communications for renewals, upsells, and re-engagement, ensuring every message adds value and feels personal.
  • Event & Community Activation — Support client events, workshops, and community-building efforts that strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Content & Resource Management — Collaborate with Marketing and Design to produce materials that educate, celebrate, and expand client partnerships.
  • Measurement & Reporting — Track engagement, retention, and NRR impact; share insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with RevOps, Sales, and Service-Line leaders to ensure post-sale messaging aligns with evolving client needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years in customer, lifecycle, or retention marketing — ideally within a B2B or professional-services environment.
  • Proven ability to build post-sale programs that improve retention, drive expansion, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Strong writing and communication skills; able to turn client outcomes into compelling stories and measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or similar) for segmentation, automation, and campaign reporting.
  • Collaborative, empathetic, and comfortable partnering with CS and Sales to connect marketing to revenue.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking engagement and NRR metrics.
  • Organized, proactive, and motivated by client success.

We are committed to investing in our team with a highly competitive and comprehensive compensation package:

Competitive Salary:

  • Base Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 annually. Note: Salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and market competitiveness.
  • Performance Incentive: An annual performance bonus of up to 6% of the base salary, rewarding achievements tied directly to key business objectives.

Comprehensive Benefits & Perks:

  • Health & Wellness: Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. 100% of the employee's health insurance premium is covered by the company.
  • Financial Security: Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insurance.
  • Work/Life Balance To Include: Generous Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 Paid Company Holidays, and comprehensive Paid Parental Leave.
  • Remote Work Setup: Fully remote position with company-provided technology equipment and a $250 technology stipend to support your ideal home office setup.
  • 401k: With a company match
