The Customer Program Manager supports the execution and performance of customer-facing programs that advance Alto’s mission to improve patient outcomes through seamless, technology-enabled pharmacy care. This role acts as a key contributor within the Customer Programs team, helping ensure that program deliverables meet expectations, operational workflows run smoothly, and issues are escalated with clarity and urgency. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, and clinical partners, the Associate Program Manager ensures strong day-to-day coordination, contributes to program reporting, and supports the continuous improvement of our customer experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance and operational outcomes for assigned programs throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project and program plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Operations, Care, Compliance, and Finance to ensure seamless delivery of program goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics, program health, and risks; lead mitigation planning and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing transparent updates on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement, elevate service delivery, and strengthen operational workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices across all program activities.
  • Facilitate program retrospectives, incorporate learnings, and implement scalable methodologies to support future growth.
  • Contribute to long-term program strategy, roadmap planning, and expansion opportunities.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–5 years of program management experience in healthcare, pharmacy, digital health, or another regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and operational problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to healthcare operations.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex information for diverse audiences including executives, partners, and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with GSuite, Slack, and project management tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pharmacy operations, digital health, or healthcare services.
  • Exposure to program or project management methodologies; CAPM or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience supporting client-facing or operational programs in a service-delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to pharmacy or healthcare operations.

Benefits: 

The compensation range for this position is $84,800 - $106,000, in addition we offer a range of benefits including: 

Full-time employee benefits include: dental, vision, and multiple group medical plans to choose from, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, group life insurance, (AD&D) insurance, flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA), commuter benefits, employer-paid short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) insurance, and additional supplemental insurance plans (spouse life insurance, legal insurance, an employee assistance program, home health testing kits, and a fertility medication discount program). Employees are also provided flexible vacation time, accrued paid sick time, 10 paid holidays, (2 floating holidays for full time non-exempt employees) , and up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave for a birthing parent, and up to 8 weeks of paid bonding leave for non-birthing parents, and up to 12 weeks of family caregiver leave, including 4 paid, to support care for a family member, and a Lifestyle Spending Account allowance each month.
