What You'll Do

• Assist in forensic investigations across computers, mobile devices, and cloud systems.

• Research new attack techniques and help integrate findings into our playbooks.

• Contribute to client-ready reports and documentation for legal and corporate investigations.

• Participate in proactive threat-hunting operations alongside the team.

Requirements

• A strong foundation in IT, cybersecurity, or computer science (degree or equivalent experience).

• Familiarity with operating systems, networks, and forensic fundamentals (chain of custody, imaging, preservation).

• Coursework, labs, or certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CHFI, ACE, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or ECIH are preferred but not required.

• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving ability.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professionalism, resilience under pressure, and adaptability in fast-moving environments.

Benefits

• Elite Mentorship – Train directly with senior DFIR experts and accelerate your growth.

• Structured Development – Sponsored certifications, training, and skill advancement.

• Performance Incentives – Certification achievements translate into recognition and bonuses.

• Meaningful Work – Contribute to high-profile, real-world investigations where your work truly matters.

• Remote Flexibility – Work from anywhere in the U.S.

• Competitive Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, Unlimited PTO, Paid Holidays, and Sick Leave.

If you’re motivated, sharp, and ready to build your career in DFIR, apply today and grow with us at Cyber Centaurs.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
