We’re looking for a Data Analyst focused on Lifecycle Marketing to partner closely with our lifecycle team. This analyst will serve as the strategic analytical partner in driving customer engagement, improving retention, and maximizing lifetime value. The ideal candidate combines deep technical and analytical skills with a strong understanding of customer behavior, campaign performance, and lifecycle strategies.

Essential Duties & Impact Areas:

  • Act as the analyst embedded on the lifecycle team, deeply understanding customer journeys, campaign strategies, and lifecycle goals to deliver insights that influence roadmap, messaging, and investment decisions.
  • Define, maintain, and evolve core KPIs related to customer retention, engagement, churn, and lifetime value. Ensure consistent usage and understanding across stakeholders.
  • Own end-to-end dashboard development: gather requirements, design and iterate visualizations, and lead the launch of dashboards that inform lifecycle campaign performance, A/B testing results, and overall marketing impact.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover drivers behind customer behavior and campaign performance. Present findings clearly, including hypotheses, trends, and actionable recommendations.
  • Guide experimentation efforts across retention marketing by helping design A/B tests, tracking key metrics, and conducting rigorous post-test analysis. Translate results into data-backed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models and segmentation frameworks to support personalization, targeting, and lifecycle automation strategies.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and product partners to ensure accurate, scalable access to marketing data and assist in identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, or instrumentation needs.
  • Continuously seek optimization opportunities by surfacing growth levers or friction points, and championing data-driven ideas that improve retention, reduce churn, and maximize customer value.
  • Enable ongoing learning and communication through self-serve data tools, proactive reporting, and recurring insight share-outs to CRM, growth, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and inform experimentation roadmaps for email, push, in-app, and SMS channels.
  • Address root causes of performance shifts and data variances using various analytical techniques and investigative approaches.

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in data analytics, preferably with a focus on CRM, retention, or lifecycle marketing
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python, Tableau, or Hex for data analysis and visualization
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, funnel analysis, and LTV modeling
  • Experience in A/B testing: designing experiments, analyzing results, and translating findings into strategy
  • Prior work in growth or product analytics, especially with retention, reactivation, and churn prevention initiatives
  • Subscription experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ETL frameworks, working closely with data engineers to define logging needs and address data quality issues
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate insights across technical and non-technical audiences, with strong storytelling and presentation skills
  • A proactive, collaborative, and curious mindset with a drive to continuously improve business outcomes through data
