We're looking for a Data Analyst to support data reporting and analytics work on a VA program. You'll own Power BI reporting, work across complex data environments, and help drive the team's AI-forward data strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports connected to multiple data sources
  • Writing and optimizing queries in SQL (DML) within Databricks or Microsoft Synapse environments
  • Developing and maintaining Python scripts and pipelines within Databricks or Synapse
  • Authoring DAX measures and calculations to support reporting logic
  • Designing and interpreting data models using Entity Relationship Diagrams and normalization principles
  • Supporting AI/ML data initiatives aligned with VA's evolving data strategy

What you’ll bring:

  • 2–5 years of Python development experience in Databricks or Microsoft Synapse
  • 5+ years of SQL (DML) experience in Databricks or Microsoft Synapse
  • 2–5 years building Power BI reports and dashboards across varied data sources
  • Working knowledge of Power BI DAX and data modeling best practices
  • Familiarity with ER diagrams and Codd's normalization rules
  • VA or federal agency experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating across distributed teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. In alignment with federal contract requirements, certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance.

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $90,000 – $120,000
