OVERVIEW
Join the best engineering team in media. Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a mid- to senior level Data & Analytics Engineer to join our small, tight knit Product Engineering team. We build incredible products using modern technology to innovate in the media space. We develop and ship quickly, we test and learn and iterate. We have a high level of ownership. We are subject matter experts who understand the business context and architecture of the entire stack.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Modeling and serving data that powers our business at every level.
- Improving the data architecture and adapting to new and changing business requirements.
- Working with leadership, product engineering, product management, analytics and insights teams to develop and sustain our first party data strategy.
- Working with the rest of the Product team to ensure the data stack can stay in lock step with the product software stack.
- Working to not only model and serve data but to tell stories with it.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in data modeling, querying and developing for cloud data warehouse, and pipeline development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with a track record of writing and optimizing complex queries for large datasets.
- Experience with DBT (or similar data transformation tools).
- Experience in Python or a similar scripting language for building data applications.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.
- Knowledge of data governance, semantic layers, and data and engineering best practices.
- Experience in the digital media and entertainment industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

COMPENSATION $150k-$170k DOE **Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
