Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data infrastructure. This internship provides hands-on experience working with large datasets, data workflows, and modern data engineering tools in a real-world environment.

This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in data engineering, backend systems, and data platform development.

Internship Details
  • Duration: 3 months, with potential extension based on performance

  • Work Mode: Remote

  • Stipend: Unpaid initially; performance-based evaluation in the first quarter may lead to a paid internship extension or full-time opportunity

  • Working Hours: 8 hours per day

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows

  • Support data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files)

  • Help design and optimize data models and schemas

  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks

  • Work with structured and semi-structured data

  • Support data warehousing and analytics use cases

  • Document data processes, pipelines, and workflows

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

  • Proficiency in Python or SQL

  • Basic understanding of databases

  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred / Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with ETL tools or frameworks

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Understanding of data warehouses

  • Knowledge of version control (Git)

  • Basic understanding of data security and governance
