About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is an innovative research and development company focused on building extraordinarily productive human-machine collaboration systems. Our primary goal is to create the next generation of Gen AI-driven code reviewers: a symbiotic partnership between humans and advanced algorithms that significantly outperforms individual engineers. We combine language models with human ingenuity to push the boundaries of software development efficiency and quality.

Role Review:

As a Data Engineer at CodeRabbit, you’ll be responsible for building the company’s data infrastructure from the ground up. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to turn raw product and go-to-market data into reliable, actionable insights. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with broad ownership and real influence over how the company measures success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and own CodeRabbit’s end-to-end data stack, from ingestion to analytics

  • Design and maintain scalable pipelines for product, marketing, sales, and customer data

  • Partner closely with Engineering to support product analytics, experimentation, and feature measurement

  • Enable Marketing with attribution, funnel analysis, and growth insights

  • Support Sales and Revenue teams with pipeline, forecasting, and customer lifecycle reporting

  • Define and document core business metrics so everyone is aligned on “what good looks like”

  • Establish best practices for data quality, testing, and reliability in a fast-moving environment

  • Make pragmatic tool choices and iterate as the company scales

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer, ideally in a startup or high-ownership environment

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or similar languages

  • Experience building ETL pipelines and working with modern data tooling (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Segment, or equivalents)

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)

  • Comfort working with messy, incomplete data and evolving requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly with engineers, marketers, and sales partners

  • A builder’s mindset: you enjoy starting with a blank slate and making things real

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS or developer-focused products

  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog)

  • Experience with BI tools and self-serve analytics

  • Exposure to reverse ETL or operational analytics

Our Values:

🤝 Collaborative Humans: Prioritizing collective intelligence

🚀 Fearless Innovators: Turning obstacles into growth opportunities

💪 Persistent, Passionate Developers: Thriving on complex, long-term challenges

🎯 Impact-Driven Creators: Crafting intuitive tools for developers

🧠 Rapid Learners and Un-learners: Adapting quickly in our fast-paced technological world

What We Offer

  • Work on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact

  • Collaborative and innovative environment

  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits

  • Professional development opportunities
