Job Title: Data Manager
Job Summary: The Data Manager will serve as a strategic insights partner across Community Boost’s media, creative, and client service teams. This role transforms complex cross‑channel data—Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, email, website analytics—into clear, actionable insights that help nonprofits scale their impact. The analyst will strengthen our measurement frameworks, streamline reporting processes, and embed data‑driven thinking into every stage of our client engagements. This is a high‑ownership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment and is excited to help shape the future of data at a mission‑driven agency.
Essential Job Functions:
Build and maintain advanced reporting dashboards that unify performance across paid media, website analytics, CRM data, and creative testing. Analyze campaign performance to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and strategic insights for nonprofit clients.
Partner with media planners, strategists, and creative teams to ensure data informs audience targeting, messaging, and creative development.
Develop measurement frameworks, attribution approaches, and testing methodologies tailored to nonprofit goals (donations, lead generation, volunteer sign‑ups, advocacy actions).
Lead deep‑dive analyses on donor journeys, conversion funnels, and cross‑channel performance to guide strategic recommendations.
Standardize reporting processes, templates, and data hygiene practices to improve efficiency and accuracy across the agency.
Present insights to clients in a clear, compelling, and accessible way—translating complex data into meaningful narratives.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling for paid media and fundraising campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate new tools, platforms, and data integrations that enhance our analytics capabilities.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a strong, scalable analytics function.

Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics, preferably within an agency or nonprofit environment. Deep expertise with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and other major ad platform analytics tools.
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) and spreadsheet modeling.
Experience working with nonprofit KPIs, donor funnels, and mission‑driven campaign metrics.
Ability to translate data into insights that influence strategy, creative, and media planning.
Strong understanding of attribution models, tracking setups, and conversion measurement best practices.
Comfort working with large datasets and performing advanced analysis (segmentation, cohort analysis, regression, etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building systems, improving processes, and driving operational clarity.
Familiarity with CRM or fundraising platforms (e.g., Salesforce, EveryAction, Classy, HubSpot) is a plus.
Core Competencies:
Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: The ability to break down complex performance questions, diagnose data inconsistencies, and design scalable solutions. This includes interpreting large datasets, identifying trends, and applying analytical rigor to guide strategic recommendations for nonprofit campaigns.
Technical Mastery & Data Engineering Fluency: Demonstrates strong command of analytics tools, attribution methodologies, tracking setups, and data visualization platforms. Applies technical expertise to build dashboards, maintain data hygiene, and ensure accurate, reliable reporting across multiple marketing channels.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Works effectively with media planners, strategists, creative teams, and leadership to translate business needs into data‑driven insights. Communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and contributes to a culture of shared understanding and alignment.
Ownership & Operational Excellence: Takes responsibility for data quality, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement of analytics processes. Proactively identifies opportunities to streamline workflows, standardize practices, and mentor junior team members to strengthen the overall analytics function.
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote role; work is performed in a home office setting.
Regular virtual interaction with employees, leadership, and external vendors.
May occasionally require flexible scheduling to accommodate time zone differences.
