About the role .
We are looking for a Quality co-op student to join us for a four-month work term starting in May 2026. The Data Quality Summer Student will assist the Data Governance team in ensuring a high standard of data quality and increasing the trust in data for the enterprise.
What you'll be doing.

• This position will be based in our Florenceville office, with the expectation of working onsite/in-office three days a week.
• Investigate and triage data quality issues for the business by performing data discovery, data health checks, root cause analysis, and data rule creation

• Produce insights on current data health and recommend data quality rules to ensure optimal data health
• Provide proactive data quality recommendations to prevent issues from occurring
• Creation of Power BI dashboards to showcase data quality issues and improvements over time
• Documentation and translation of business rules to develop technical code using SQL or Python to produce insights

• Creation of self-serving data quality tools
• Support cataloging of metadata
• Collaborating with other data contributors to implement and enforce governance in the enterprise data platform

What you'll need to be successful.

• Currently enrolled in your 3 rd or 4 th year of university, seeking a Computer Science or equivalent bachelor's or master's degree.

• Proficient at writing queries and validating results using SQL and Python
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau is preferred
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Databricks, Google Cloud, Azure, and Amazon Web Services preferred
• Systematic approach to problem solving

• Strong multi-tasking and organization skills
• Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization

• Strong project management skills
• The ability to gather and understand complex problems and use a variety of tools to solve them.
• How to work and communicate with various teams across the enterprise.

Compensation Package: $23.00 - $26.00 CAD hourly wage equivalent, paid salary.
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
