About the role:

We're seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer, Product to join our team and help derive actionable insights from our complex datasets. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in data extraction and manipulation, with the ability to convert raw data into meaningful business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute SQL queries to extract and clean data from complex tables and databases

  • Develop and maintain data models to support business decision-making

  • Define, document, and maintain clear and precise definitions of key business metrics to ensure consistency and clarity across reporting.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of underlying data queries, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues.

  • Establish standards and best practices for dashboard development and management, educating stakeholders and team members on effective usage and interpretation.

  • Create insightful visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI

  • Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Analytics Engineer

  • Exceptional SQL skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex data structures

  • Strong mathematical and statistical foundation

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)

  • Proven ability to independently extract and manipulate raw data

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)

  • Background in social media analytics or user behavior analysis would be a huge plus

  • Experience writing scripts in Python

Location:

This is a hybrid role, preferably based in the Bay Area.

Pay Equity: 

In compliance with Pay Transparency Laws, the base salary range for this role is between $150,000-200,000 for those located in San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
