YOU ARE 

We’re looking for an innovative data scientist with a passion for Math, Sports, and Computer Science. This person should be excited to solve complex problems by applying the combination of a deep mathematics background with intuition and the feedback of experts in the field.

The successful data scientist at WMT will utilize strong problem-solving skills, significant programming experience, and business analytics to solve real-world dynamic pricing problems at scale. This role will be highly involved in the development of the core AI-driven pricing product and will be expected to make key business decisions on complex real-world problems. This position will interface with the subject matter experts and machine learning team to communicate business impacts of technical decisions. This is a math focused role. We are not looking for generative AI skills.
 

YOUR IMPACT AND AREAS OF FOCUS:

  • Develop and improve pipelines for collecting, cleaning, processing, and analyzing client ticketing data for analysis and model building.
  • Build and improve scalable machine learning pipelines, feature engineering, etc.
  • Create innovative and clear data visualizations.
  • Reports back on findings and technical decisions to subject matter experts, stakeholders and clients.
  • Identify areas of improvement and new use cases of our pricing model.
  • Will show drive and initiative to push the core product and technology forward.
  • Collaborate with a cross-cutting team of executives, product managers, clients, software engineers, and data scientists.


WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE…

  • A master’s, or PhD degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience using advanced mathematics and/or machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems. 
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with data manipulation, analysis and visualizations in Python. Experience using data science and statistics libraries in Python. Pandas, matplotlib, and scikit-learn at minimum.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with databases and software development. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to present complex technical findings to a team of subject matter experts.
