We are seeking a Data Transport Monitoring and Modernization (M&M) Lead with experience in all aspects of Data Transport activities. A successful individual will be responsible for interacting with new mission system applicants, manage software developers (management tool), budgeting, and have interpersonal skills to manage all categories of Data Transport requirements and administrative support.  This is a hands-on project analysis role that requires rolling up your sleeves to manage budgets, timelines, teams, and customers alike: 

This position will be hybrid remote, selected candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA) or work in Huntsville, AL.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data Transport Deputy; considered a Data Transport authority who applies extensive knowledge and expertise in support of Mission System Operations and their Trading Partners. 

  • Lead for Maintenance and Modernization team to include the Monitoring Tool, Cyber security team, and maintenance efforts. 

  • May oversee aspects such as budget and resource requirements and aids defining predicted user and financial benefit(s) where they can be realized.     

  • Ability to rationalize complex information to make it understandable for others to work, and ability to interrogate reported information and challenge sources where inconsistencies are found. 

  • Analyze propositions and assess decision-making factors such as strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risk; works closely with the Data Transport Manager to define a product approach to meet the specified user need. 

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions. 

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance in support of improved processes and initiatives. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 

  • Experience with IT - Data Transport Project Coordination and Management.

  • Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. 

  • U.S. citizenship required. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD or USAF cloud environments (e.g., Cloud One, Platform One). 

  • Experience managing the development of the Data Transport Monitoring Tool. 

  • Experience collaborating with vendors and external partners on migration cloud solutions. 

  • Experience managing budgets and TRN reports; works in conjunction with Data Transport Manager and Program Management Office personnel.  

  • Experience supporting development of Basis of Estimates for Data Transport. 

  • Must possess strong written and verbal skills to convey Data Transport messaging to government customer, PMO staff, and internal teams across Data Transport.

Pay Range:Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
