The Opportunity
As a Senior Associate in Deals - Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services, you will provide strategic guidance on technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures, and capital markets topics. You will advise clients on complex accounting advisory and financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational business events that may impact an organization's value. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions even when the path forward isn't clear.
In this role, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex concepts and interpret data to inform insights and recommendations. You will uphold professional and technical standards, using a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. Within our Deals practice, you will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is evolving, using reflection to enhance strengths and address development areas. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while making a significant impact on client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Providing strategic guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting issues related to mergers, acquisitions, and other business transformations
- Advising clients on complex transaction structures and capital markets topics to maximize business value
- Analyzing financial data to inform insights and recommendations for client engagements
- Utilizing critical thinking to break down complex accounting concepts and develop solutions
- Collaborating with clients to navigate complex transactions and regulatory reporting requirements
- Developing and maintaining client relationships to understand and anticipate their needs
- Leading project coordination and management efforts to deliver quality outcomes
- Applying knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in advisory services
- Engaging in capital market transactions, including Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and debt raising activities
- Mentoring junior team members to enhance their skills and professional growth
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of experience
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment.
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Economics, Finance
- At least one of the following: Current pursuit of or an active CPA license
- Demonstrating proficiency in financial modeling and reporting
- Utilizing analytical thinking to navigate complex capital market transactions
- Excelling in project management within capital markets advisory services
- Leveraging technical accounting skills for regulatory reporting and compliance
- Developing insights through market analysis and benchmarking techniques
The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
