Dell Digital is seeking a skilled Consultant/Database Engineer to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that support enterprise applications. The role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement database solutions for enterprise applications.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance and storage.
• Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and IT teams to support application requirements.
• Perform data modeling, database schema design, and query optimization.
• Assist in database migration, upgrades, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely solutions.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery procedures and database security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud databases and modern data platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Dell Digital tools, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for database automation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
