Design and execute demand generation campaigns, manage HubSpot workflows, and collaborate closely with sales to drive pipeline growth for Smartleaf's marketing initiatives.
The summary above was generated by AI

Position Overview:

This is Smartleaf's primary campaign and demand generation role. The person in this seat owns the programs that generate pipeline: outbound and ABM campaigns, email nurture sequences, event and webinar promotion, and content distribution. They also serve as the day-to-day HubSpot administrator, ensuring the platform is well-configured, workflows are functioning, and contacts are clean and properly segmented.

This role is for someone who understands the full buyer journey, can design programs that move prospects through it, and can execute those programs themselves inside HubSpot without heavy support. They will work alongside the writer (who supplies content) and in tight partnership with sales (who shares pipeline accountability).

Company Overview:
Smartleaf is an automated portfolio management rebalancing SaaS solution that makes it possible for wealth advisors to deliver highly personalized, tax-optimized portfolio management with unprecedented expertise, scale and efficiency.

Our RIA subsidiary, Smartleaf Asset Management (SAM), leverages Smartleaf software to provide an outsourced service for the review, rebalancing and trading of personalized and tax-optimized portfolios.

Our solution enables wealth advisors—Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), bank trusts, and platforms serving them—to greatly improve the quality of their portfolio management and spend much less time doing it.

Our system saves or defers more in taxes than most investors pay in wealth advisory fees. We make working with direct indexes as easy as working with ETFs. We are the first system to support automated tax-optimized portfolio management at the household level. We make multi-year tax-optimized transitions effortless. We enable a firm’s entire book to be managed by one FTE. And more.

We support an industry-wide shift away from the largely false promise of market-beating returns towards the more valuable and sustainable role of being each investor’s "lifetime financial coach." Our clients are ambitious firms that embrace this vision.

Whether clients work with Smartleaf or SAM, they typically engage us to manage their entire book. Smartleaf software is currently used to generate customized, tax-optimized trades for roughly $85B in assets. SAM, launched in 2020, has $4.5B in AUM.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign & Demand Generation Responsibilities

  • Design and execute campaigns and ABM targeting Smartleaf’s core market of RIAs, wealth managers, and enterprise wealth management firms

  • Build and manage email nurture sequences in HubSpot across multiple buyer segments and funnel stages, from first touch through sales-ready

  • Own event and webinar promotion end-to-end: pre-event campaigns, registration workflows, post-event follow-up sequences, and lead capture

  • Develop and execute content distribution strategy across email, LinkedIn, and owned channels; partner with the writer to align content calendar to pipeline goals

  • Build and manage a basic SEO content program in collaboration with the writer, identifying keyword opportunities and ensuring content is distributed for organic reach

  • Run structured A/B tests on messaging, subject lines, CTAs, and audience segments; report results and iterate

  • Partner tightly with sales on pipeline targets, lead handoff, MQL definitions, and regular pipeline reviews

Marketing Communication & Lead Generation

  • Serve as primary HubSpot administrator: manage user access, contact properties, list segmentation, and platform hygiene

  • Build and maintain HubSpot workflows, enrollment logic, and automation sequences that support campaign programs

  • Own lead scoring model and lifecycle stage definitions in collaboration with sales

  • Maintain contact database health: list hygiene, deduplication, opt-out compliance, and CAN-SPAM adherence

  • Set up campaign tracking infrastructure including UTM parameters and campaign attribution in HubSpot

  • Produce recurring HubSpot-based campaign performance reports and share with marketing and sales leadership

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 years in B2B marketing with hands-on experience in both campaign/demand gen execution and HubSpot administration. Experience in financial services, specifically wealth management is a plus!

  • Proven track record building campaigns, ABM, or nurture programs that contributed measurably to pipeline

  • HubSpot Marketing Hub certification preferred; direct experience building workflows, sequences, and lists required

  • Experience with event and webinar promotion workflows including pre/post automation

  • Comfortable working in a lean team — this role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution

  • Background in fintech, wealth management tech, or B2B SaaS strongly preferred

  • Sales-aligned mindset: has worked against shared pipeline targets and understands MQL-to-SQL handoff
