ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Demand Planning Team is responsible for forecasting future customer demand for Topgolf Callaway Brands.  The Demand Planning team analyzes historical sales data, current market trends and other relevant factors to predict future demand accurately.  This information helps the company optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain management to meet customer needs efficiently all while minimizing costs.  The team collaborates closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain to gather relevant data, insights, and feedback.  This collaboration ensures alignment between demand forecasts and various business functions, facilitating effective decision-making and resource allocation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of a demand planner is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities aimed at accurately forecasting and managing customer demand for a portfolio of products.  A demand planner’s role involves accurately forecasting customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, collaborating with other departments, monitoring performance metrics, and leveraging technology to streamline processes.  The demand planner plays a critical role in ensuring that Topgolf Callaway Brands meet customer demand efficiently and drive business success.

Success in this role demands analytical skills, forecasting accuracy, effective communication, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, technology proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage SAP Business Objects reporting to pull historical sales data.
  • Forecast future demand for products and facilitate forecast consensus reviews to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to gather insights and align strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics and maintain forecast continuously.
  • Utilize dashboards/visuals to enhance analytics, collaboration, and demand planning processes.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Systems - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Power Query Editor, Microsoft PowerBI, SAP BO Reporting, SAP IBP.
  • Proficient in statistical methods and/or forecasting techniques to analyze historical data and predict future demand accurately.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, cleansing, and management to ensure the accuracy and integrity of demand planning data.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes including production planning, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate demand forecasting activities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and motivational skills, with high degree of attention to detail.’
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor Degree (B. A.) in Statistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related Business Major
