Job Description
This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of Chase's editorial strategy for social channels. Working closely with the Head of Content and Creative Production, you will help strengthen brand presence and elevate our voice across platforms and be responsible for managing the day-to-day editorial operations, maintaining a robust content calendar, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in all social content.
As a Deputy Editor Vice President within Consumer & Community Banking, you will coordinate content production alongside the Video Production Manager, manage schedules, and ensure timely delivery of stories, while collaborating with cross-functional partners to align content with business goals. A keen eye for building decks to effectively communicate the strategy behind Chase's social media channels is essential, as is a strong understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to maximize content reach and impact. As a key contributor to our social content strategy, you will ensure every story is crafted to maximize engagement and relevance by leveraging the distinct formats, features, and audience behaviors of each social platform. In addition, you will be a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, with a proven ability to unify customer touch points into a compelling, cohesive narrative.
Job responsibilities
  • Manage an editorial calendar that aligns with Chase's business objectives, guiding the balance between storytelling, product-focused messaging, and thought leadership.

  • Lead by example with hands-on writing for key campaigns and initiatives, while reviewing and editing content produced by internal team members, upholding the highest standards for grammar, clarity, and tone.

  • Research, write, and script engaging content, with a focus on financial health, for both paid and organic social channels, leveraging interviews with subject matter experts at the firm to ensure Chase's social media platforms deliver actionable, relevant, and accessible information to help audiences make the most of their money.

  • Maintain Chase's editorial voice, ensuring consistency and clarity across all platforms.

  • Translate executive vision into clear editorial strategies, providing direction and feedback to copywriters to ensure deadlines are met, and content elevates the Chase brand.

  • Implement editorial content to strengthen Chase's position as a leader in financial services, crafting narratives that resonate with a broad range of audiences, from Starter to Affluent demographics.

  • Review content performance data to identify what resonates with audiences, providing actionable insights and recommendations to refine editorial strategy and optimize future content.

  • Create compelling decks and presentations that articulate the editorial approach, demonstrate the value and impact of the Chase Social team, and inspire stakeholders to support the team's strategic vision.

  • Leverage expertise in SEO, AEO, and GEO to optimize editorial content for maximum discoverability, relevance, and impact across all digital channels. Continuously monitor and adapt strategies to align with evolving search and generative engine algorithms, ensuring Chase's content reaches and resonates with target audiences.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 7+ years of experience in journalism, editorial, or content strategy, with a proven track record in digital media, publishing, brand storytelling, or related fields

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic priorities into engaging editorial concepts and initiatives.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including video scripting and content creation for social media platforms.

  • Experience building and presenting decks to communicate strategy and results.

  • Deep understanding of digital media trends, social platforms, and audience engagement tactics.

  • Strong knowledge of SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices.

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Experience managing, training, and developing editorial teams.

  • Strong creative problem-solving and project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex projects, deadlines, and budgets.

  • Awareness of industry trends, technology, and audience interests.

  • Experience supporting influencer partnerships and campaigns, with knowledge of influencer marketing trends and best practices.
