Stytch is the platform for user authentication and anti-fraud tooling. We make it simple for developers to build complex authentication flows in minutes.

You’ll work directly with developers that want to learn how Stytch works, help them design an implementation, and answer any questions they have along the way. Throughout that path you’ll also be serving as the voice of the customer within Stytch and closing the feedback loop by ensuring their insights make it back to our Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

What Excites You

  • A collaborative environment, working with customers and internal teams to push our product forward

  • Serving as a confident technical resource and voice for our customers

  • Learning — our product suite and problem space is continually evolving, and staying on top of those changes is critical to success

  • Building your own approach based on first principles and turning that into a scalable process

What Excites Us

  • A strong sense of empathy that allows for a deep understanding of our customers’ needs

  • Troubleshooting — tenacity, curiosity, and grit to find the solution

  • Ability to read and write code

  • Familiarity with modern web services and APIs.  Experience with authentication protocols (SAML/OAuth), MFA, IdP is a bonus

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels

  • Enthusiasm to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and tools as needed

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a technical resource for customers when they have questions about our product

  • Work on scaling our team and improving our core product

What does project work outside of tickets look like?

Our team leans heavily on project work outside of answering tickets to help scale our ability to support customers. In Q4 we shipped:

  • A customer health dashboard to track product usage and sentiment over time.

  • Webhooks for email delivery success rate and time-to-inbox latency so customers can self-serve insights into their email sending health.

  • Audited and shipped improved logging in our API so developers had more detail when things went wrong.

Interview loop

  • 🤝Meet with the hiring manager (30m)

    • Learn about Stytch, the Developer Success team, and share your background and what you’re looking for

  • 📚 Take home (45-60m)

    • Three sample questions from developers

  • 👩‍💻 Technical interview (60m)

    • In this interview you'll be given three challenges:

      • Write some code to call the Stytch API

      • Read some of our internal code and identify some bugs.

      • Dig into a solution design for authentication

  • 📈 Final round

    • Founder interview with our CTO Julianna (30m)

    • GTM interview with our GTM team (30m)

    • Meet with an engineer on our Eng team (30m)

  • 🎁 Wrap up (30m)

    • Time to get all of your questions answered and talk next steps

Expected base salary $120,000 - $150,000. The anticipated base salary range is not inclusive of full benefits including equity, health care insurance, time off, paid parental leave, etc. This base salary is accurate based on information at the time of posting. Actual compensation for hired candidates will be determined using a number of factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.

We're looking to hire a GREAT team and that means hiring people who are highly empathetic, ambitious, and excited about building the future of user authentication. You should feel empowered to apply for this role even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description (our job descriptions are directional and not perfect recipes for exactly what we need).

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workspace where everyone (regardless of age, education, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any personal characteristics) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!
