The Impact of a Development Manager, Core Orchestration at Coupa:
Lead software engineers are the key contributor in complex projects and initiatives. They are responsible for quality software deliverables as per the timeline. They work closely with other team engineers and provide technical leadership/guidance to a small
team. They are proficient in programming languages and technology in use by the team. They often participate in investigating complex problems and driving resolution. Lead engineers networks with key contacts outside his/her area of expertise and provide robust solutions.
In This Role You Will Be:
- Lead architecture design and major upgrades for the Coupa Platform, aligning with long-term technical vision.
- Develop deep expertise in the Coupa application suite to design better application and data frameworks.
- Follow iterative development processes to deliver value each release while shaping future platform direction.
- Advocate for and help define architecture standards, ensuring clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on feature design, defect analysis, and customer-focused solutions.
- Mentor technical teams and coordinate with cross-functional groups to support development, implementation, and deployment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer
- engineering, systems analysis or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experiences building enterprise, SaaS applications using technologies such Java/Springboot, .NET, RoR, or other technologies
- 5+ years defining detailed designs for distributed, multi-tenant enterprise applications
- Hands on experience with building low-code/no-code applications using workflow automation tools and frameworks
- Broad knowledge of middleware/application integration products
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and executing enterprise architecture and software development life cycle methodologies
Highly Recommended:
- Experience with architecting third-party developer frameworks, Open Source Software
- Experience with designing for an enterprise multi-tenant system
- Experience developing with containers, micro-services, message queues, and search technologies
- Experience developing business applications or frameworks, business process modeling (BPMN)
- Experience with refactoring and modularizing legacy applications
- Hands on experience with troubleshooting and debugging application errors, performance issues leveraging APM, Logging, and Traceability tools
The estimated pay range for this role in California is $142,000 - $184,500
The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
