We are currently searching for a Development Officer for Annual Giving and Events.

The Development Officer is responsible for driving unrestricted revenue through events, annual giving, and donor conversion. This role focuses on turning community engagement into ongoing financial support by managing event fundraising and building a strong base of annual donors.

What you will do:  

Event Fundraising and Revenue Generation

  • Support fundraising strategy and execution for organizational events.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure events achieve revenue goals.
  • Develop donor focused messaging and asks tied to events.
  • Ensure each event includes donor capture, follow up, and conversion strategy.
  • Track event performance including revenue, participation, and donor conversion.

Annual Giving Program Development

  • Design and implement annual giving campaigns (mail, email, digital outreach).
  • Create donor appeal strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Segment donor lists for targeted outreach and retention.
  • Support recurring giving and donor upgrade strategies.
  • Monitor and report on annual giving performance metrics.

Donor Cultivation and Conversion

  • Identify and engage event attendees and community supporters as prospective donors.
  • Implement follow up strategies to move supporters into giving pipelines.
  • Coordinate stewardship touchpoints with Development leadership.
  • Maintain donor engagement tracking in CRM system.

Collaboration and Cross Functional Support

  • Partner with programs, leadership, and communications to align messaging.
  • Coordinate with Development leadership on fundraising priorities and goals.
  • Support broader fundraising initiatives as needed.

 What you will bring:     

  • Minimum 3 to 6 years experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, events, or donor relations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing events with revenue goals
  • Strong communication and writing skills for donor audiences
  • Experience with donor engagement, sales, fundraising, or relationship management.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and revenue targets.

Pay: Up to $90,000.00 annually as commensurate with skills and experience. 

Work Location: San Rafael, California
