As a Development Tools Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and enabling Intel's engineering partners to design and manufacture cutting-edge silicon products and systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, validate, and optimize software tools and algorithms that support design, manufacturing, validation, and silicon production.
- Utilize modern software development methodologies, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices to create robust and reliable tools.
- Develop and maintain systems such as debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, performance monitors, and libraries.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering partners to provide tools that enable impactful product integration and manufacturing processes.
- Identify and solve complex problems related to software tools and systems to enhance functionality, usability, and performance.
- Contribute to software architecture input and feedback to ensure alignment with Intel's technological goals and values.
- Maintain high standards of software quality and testing methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience months of experience or a master’s degree in computer science or software engineering or computer engineering or related STEM discipline. Applicant must have the required degree by July 2026.
6+ months of experience with the following technical skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Familiarity with software debug techniques and tools.
- Understanding of software test methodologies and secure coding practices.

- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Knowledge of object-oriented software design and disciplined execution in software development processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $111,030.00-156,740.00 USD
