Job Description

Your Career

We are seeking an experienced and innovative DevOps Engineer to join the Worldwide Shared Services (WWSS) organization. In this role, you will help us build and operate applications that leverage AI technologies to transform our business. 

Your Impact

  • You will develop Infrastructure-as-code, which will be used to orchestrate development and production cloud environments for our internally developed AI solutions. 

  • You will build interactive web apps using frameworks such as Gradio and Streamlit. 

  • You will build tools for the automatic remediation of known issues.

  • You will build CI pipelines and automation processes

  • Participate in the on-call rotation supporting the applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for environment setup, management, and teardown.

  • Perform regular updates, maintenance, and performance monitoring of environments.

  • Monitor basic environment performance and user feedback 

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Technical Experience

    • High Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Vault

    • Proficiency with cloud computing concepts and administration (GCP - preferred)

    • Proficiency with CI/CD and Configuration Management (GitLab preferred)

    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift is a plus

  • Networking and Security

    • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices

    • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles

  • Scripting and Repeatability

    • High Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) 

  • Problem Solving and Communication

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Certifications

    • Relevant certifications (e.g.,  GCP Professional DevOps Engineer, Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional, Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator) are a plus

  • Workload Management

    • Experience in using industry-standard project management and problem-resolution tools

  • Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Apprentice and Cybersecurity Practitioner certifications certifications are strongly encouraged.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $160,000 - $240,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
