What You'll Do

  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between developers, QA, and operations to align goals and streamline workflows .
  • Infrastructure Management: Provision and maintain servers, storage, networking, and cloud resources, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to reduce manual work
  • Security (DevSecOps): Integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Data Management: Design processes for data collection, storage, and usage within systems.
  • Release Engineering: Manage application builds, deployments, and rollbacks.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Set up logging, alerting, and performance monitoring tools. Primary tool will be Datadog, IBM Turbonomics, and Azure Monitoring.

What You Bring

Three years minimum experience in the following:

  • Technical: Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform), cloud platforms (Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), version control (Git), GitLab build pipelines), networking, and database management .
  • Languages: Familiar with YAML, Java, Typescript, and node.js
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability to cross-functional teams.
  • DevOps Mindset: Understanding agile, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation

Education requirement: B.S. in Computer Science, CIS or related fields

High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

Compensation:

The annual compensation for this position generally ranges between $135,000 - $175,000.
