Why Mintlify?

We're on a mission to empower builders.

  • Massive reach: Our docs platform serves 100 million+ developers every year and powers documentation for 18,000+ companies, including Anthropic, Cursor, PayPal, Coinbase, X, and over 20% of the last YC batch.

  • Small team, huge impact: We’re only 35 people today, backed by $22 million in funding, each new hire shapes the company’s trajectory.

  • Culture of slope over y-intercept: We value learning velocity, grit, and unapologetically unique personalities.

We grew in value faster than headcount and we’re looking to align the two quickly.

What you'll work on here

We're at an inflection point: serving 100M+ developers annually while operating on infrastructure managed by just one expert. As we rapidly scale, we need a second devops engineer to help us build reliable, scalable infrastructure we control.

  • Monitoring and scaling our AWS infrastructure (EKS and ECS) to support our rapidly growing user base

  • Migrating services from third-party vendors to our own AWS/EKS infrastructure to gain control and agency over our platform

  • Building observability and alerting systems to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for our documentation platform

  • Improving deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes to support our fast-moving engineering team

  • Collaborating with backend engineers to architect and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions

  • Working alongside our current devops expert to establish best practices and expand our infrastructure capabilities

What you bring to the table
  • You have strong experience with AWS services, particularly EKS (Kubernetes) and ECS

  • You know how to build reliable, observable systems at scale

  • You have experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

  • You're comfortable with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)

  • You know how to go from 0-to-1 and aren't afraid to own complex migrations

  • You have strong communication skills and can translate technical decisions to the broader team

  • You thrive in a collaborative team setting

Why you should join our engineering team

Engineers at Mintlify appreciate a high degree of ownership, are passionate about reliability and performance, and come to work ready to contribute to a small-but-mighty team.

You'll have plenty of heads down builder time. We believe in the power of strong teams to drive change - and have created an environment where the best ideas win and we can acknowledge when we're wrong.

We're all about finding the intersection between what excites you and business priorities. You'll jump into new territory and learn something new. You'll own projects and features. You'll ship.
