SigParser is looking for a driven DevOps engineer who wants to have a major impact on the business.

We are a fast growing B2B SaaS startup that extracts, enriches, and acts on relationship data from email and calendar systems. Our customers are sales, marketing, and business development teams at law firms, consulting firms, financial services companies, and other relationship-driven businesses. We are growing quickly and need someone who can help us ship high quality software faster and keep our production environment running smoothly.

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Salary range: $115,000 to $150,000, depending on experience.

What You'll Do

  • Own the release process end to end: deploy code to production and make sure it lands cleanly
  • Monitor production logs and proactively catch errors before customers notice them
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues across our backend and database layer
  • Upgrade and maintain our PostgreSQL database servers, and manage the full data lifecycle including retiring old customer databases safely
  • Build backend tooling (with Claude Code) that gives the whole team better visibility into customer issues
  • Build data quality monitoring so we can spot problems in the data we extract and enrich before they reach customers
  • Maintain our SOC 2 posture and security compliance using tools like Vanta
  • Test PRs before they merge, and help shepherd changes through QA

What We're Looking For

  • Attention to detail
  • Vision for how to improve processes and systems
  • System administration
  • Some coding experience (.NET/SQL)
  • Cloud monitoring experience
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management
  • Experience monitoring production systems and triaging log data

Nice to Have

  • Vanta experience
  • AWS experience or certifications (Cloudwatch, S3, Security...)
  • C#/.NET/JavaScript/SQL
  • Postgresql experience
  • Terraform or other infrastructure as code experience
  • Background in a small startup environment where you wore multiple hats

The Logistics

This is an in-office position in Carlsbad, CA. You will work alongside the rest of the engineering team five days per week. We believe a small, co-located team ships faster and learns faster, and we have built our culture around that.

You must already be authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor visas (including H-1B) for this role.

Security and Trust

We handle highly sensitive customer data, and we take that seriously. We are SOC 2 certified, and you will help us stay that way. You will practice secure coding using established best practices such as OWASP, and security will be a normal part of how you review and ship code. Because of the nature of the data you will have access to, this role requires a background check.

What We Offer

  • Real ownership and real impact, on a product customers genuinely rely on
  • A modern stack and modern tooling, including first-class use of AI in daily work
  • A small, focused team where good work is seen and rewarded
  • A mature onboarding process and a genuine commitment to your success
  • Weekly team lunches
  • Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision, 401K, Vacation

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
