About Applico Capital

Applico Capital is the leading venture capital firm focused on the $8 trillion B2B distribution industry. Through our learnings and understanding of the industry, we are building a tech startup, currently in stealth, to solve the industry's biggest problems as it comes to unlocking AI-enabled synergies.

Our mandate is to leverage AI and modern technologies to reimagine the role of the traditional distributor and transform how the entire industry operates.

We are looking for highly technical builders who thrive in entrepreneurial, scrappy, and collaborative environments.

About the Role:

As a DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will own the developer experience, CI/CD pipelines, and automation that enable our engineering team to move fast and deliver reliably.  You will establish infrastructure-as-code practices and partner with existing IT platform teams to align on cloud platforms, incorporating modern feature management to decouple deployment from release.  This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise, pragmatism in building versus buying, and a passion for automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery
  • Manage infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Set up observability and monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Partner with existing IT platforms teams (AWS, Snowflake, etc.) for alignment
  • Automate developer workflows to maximize productivity
  • Incorporate feature management tools (e.g. LaunchDarkly) for safe, gradual rollouts
  • Leverage AI-assisted DevOps tooling to accelerate pipeline creation, testing, and monitoring
  • Embed compliance and security controls directly into the CI/CD workflows

Requirements
  • 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
  • Expertise in CI/CD tooling and infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with feature flagging/feature management platforms (e.g. LaunchDarkly, Unleash, etc.)
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus)
  • Track record of building automation-heavy engineering cultures
  • Comfort with modern AI-augmented tooling and services
