Skydio is the leading US drone company and the world leader in autonomous flight, the key technology for the future of drones and aerial mobility. The Skydio team combines deep expertise in artificial intelligence, best-in-class hardware and software product development, operational excellence, and customer obsession to empower a broader, more diverse audience of drone users, from utility inspectors to first responders, soldiers in battlefield scenarios and beyond.

About the Role:

Skydio is scaling its Drone as First Responder (DFR) program and needs support managing a growing volume of DFR integration cases. This contractor role focuses on execution, coordination, and follow-through for streamlined, repeatable integrations, allowing the DFR Integration Specialist to focus on discovery, custom solutions, and complex technical design.

This role is not a software developer position, but it does require a working understanding of how systems integrate at a high level. Skydio’s DFR platform ingests Calls for Service (CFS) and event data from CAD and RMS vendors via RESTful APIs (HTTP POST, JSON payloads) and other standard integration patterns. The contractor will not design these integrations, but will be responsible for executing against defined patterns, coordinating setup with vendors and agency IT teams, and validating that data is flowing correctly.

All discovery calls, custom integration design, and non-standard solutions are handled by the Integration Lead. The contractor executes approved integration approaches, manages Salesforce cases, and keeps agencies moving forward through implementation.

This role helps reduce the DFR integration backlog, improve customer responsiveness, and scale integrations without increasing engineering burden. It directly supports faster agency onboarding and the continued growth of Skydio’s DFR program.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Own day-to-day execution of assigned DFR integration cases once they are ready for implementation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Salesforce case records, including tasks, notes, and customer communications

  • Manage and work through the DFR integration backlog in Notion to ensure steady progress and on-time completion

  • Coordinate required setup steps with agency IT teams and/or CAD vendors

  • Validate that Calls for Service data is successfully flowing into DFR Command or Skydio Cloud

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies during execution and follow-up, providing timely updates, clear next steps, and consistent communication

  • Identify and escalate blockers, data issues (e.g., missing fields, delayed updates, connection issues), and non-standard requirements to the DFR Integration Lead

What Makes You a Good Fit:

  • Experience managing operational or technical projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in Salesforce to track cases, tasks, and customer communication

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort with basic technical concepts, including:

    • High-level understanding of APIs and webhooks

    • HTTP-based integrations and JSON data formats

    • Coordinating network or security requirements (e.g., IP allowlists, endpoint URLs) with IT teams

  • Familiarity with public safety environments, CAD systems, or data integrations is a plus, but not required

Compensation:

  • This is a fixed term, full-time position with a limited duration as outlined in the job description (1099 contractor role). The hourly wage range for this position is $45-$55 per hour.

*Compensation for certain positions may vary based on the position’s location.
