JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role oversees the overall campaign portfolio, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time and against agreed commercial and performance objectives. The Manager provides guidance and governance to the campaign implementation team, manages complex, high impact campaign escalations, and acts as a key operational partner to Sales and other internal stakeholders.

The role is accountable for strengthening campaign delivery standards, improving operational efficiency and grooming a high performing team that takes ownership of campaign outcomes beyond execution.

Campaign Portfolio Management & Governance:

  • Oversee the overall digital campaigns managed by the team and ensure campaigns are delivered according to agreed timelines, requirements, KPIs and commercial commitments.
  • Establish clear campaign management standards, governance processes and ways of working across the team.
  • Maintain visibility of campaign status, delivery performance, campaign risks, operational dependencies and major issues across campaigns
  • Ensure campaign risks, underdelivery and implementation issues are identified and addressed early.
  • Review and provide direction on complex, high value or high risk campaigns.
  • Ensure appropriate campaign ownership and resource allocation based on campaign complexity, workload and business priority.
  • Drive accountability across the team for campaign quality, delivery and outcomes.
  • Ensure campaign execution complies with agreed SOPs, QA standards and operational requirements.

Complex Campaign Leadership & Escalation Management:

  • Lead or provide oversight for complex, high-impact, multi-platform campaigns.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for campaign delivery, performance, technical or stakeholder issues.
  • Guide the team in developing mitigation and recovery plans for underperforming or at risk campaigns.
  • Facilitate cross functional resolution of campaign blockers involving sales, ad tech, product, engineering and other stakeholders.
  • Step into campaign execution or optimization where additional senior support is required.

Campaign Performance & Optimization Oversight:

  • Ensure campaign delivery and performance are actively monitored against agreed KPIs and campaign objectives.
  • Review campaign pacing, budget utilization, delivery trends and performance metrics.
  • Provide direction on optimization strategies for campaigns that require more advanced intervention.
  • Ensure teams are taking timely corrective actions on underdelivery, performance gaps and budget risks.
  • Promote data-led campaign optimization across targeting, inventory, budget allocation, bidding, frequency and placements.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and best practices to continuously improve campaign efficiency and outcomes.
  • Ensure campaign learnings are translated into future planning and execution improvements.​

Commercial Accountability:

  • Monitor campaign entitlement usage, inventory utilization and delivery against commercial requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure campaign delivery issues that could impact revenue are identified and escalated early.
  • Partner with relevant internal teams to ensure campaign delivery and revenue records are accurate.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the key contact for sales and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations on campaign capabilities, timelines, delivery risks and operational requirements.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships to improve campaign execution and reduce recurring operational challenges.
  • Represent the campaign management team in relevant business, operational and planning discussions.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:

  • Continuously review and improve campaign workflows, QA processes and operational standards.
  • Identify recurring campaign issues, bottlenecks and manual processes and drive sustainable solutions.
  • Champion automation and technology adoption to improve campaign setup, monitoring, reporting and QA efficiency.
  • Partner with ad tech, product and relevant teams to improve platform capabilities and campaign operational efficiency.
  • Ensure new campaign products, formats and platforms are operationally ready before full implementation.

Team Leadership & Capability Development:

  • Allocate campaign responsibilities based on team capacity, capability and campaign complexity.
  • Conduct regular campaign reviews and provide guidance on execution, optimization, troubleshooting and stakeholder management.
  • Develop team members to independently manage more complex campaign scopes.
  • Build platform subject matter expertise within the team and reduce over dependency on managers for day to day decisions.
