Pivot comes alongside these organizations to help them grow and thrive by assisting them in defining and living out their brands, telling their unique stories, and strengthening relationships with their customers. Pivot has four practice areas, including broadband marketing, broadband CX, broadband vendors, and nonprofits. 
 

Job Summary 
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across paid search, social media, and emerging digital channels. This role combines strategic thinking, creative content development, and data analysis to help Pivot and its clients grow brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and achieve measurable business results while delivering an exceptional client experience. 

Responsibilities 

  • Research, develop, execute, optimize, and analyze paid social and search engine marketing campaigns across multiple ad accounts and platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, Nextdoor Ads, MNTN Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and other digital advertising platforms. 

  • Set up, monitor, and analyze conversion tracking for paid advertising campaigns using tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. 

  • Identify, develop, and evaluate social media and search engine marketing strategies based on knowledge of established objectives, market characteristics, and cost factors for B2B and B2C audiences 

  • Build and maintain Pivot’s and our client’s social media presence through strategy, content creation, and publication of organic social efforts 

  • Conduct social media and/or search engine marketing audits and provide strategic recommendations on clients’ social strategy and presence 

  • Maintain an understanding of the emerging digital trends as they relate to social media and/or search engine marketing effectiveness 

  • Develop expertise in generative search optimization (GSO) and AI-powered marketing tools, including understanding how AI platforms like ChatGPT and similar technologies impact search behavior and content strategy 

  • Develop educational resources for the Pivot team 

  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute to strategy development for digital marketing campaigns and client initiatives. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities    

  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, including their respective strengths and demographics (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Nextdoor, YouTube). 

  • Ability to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media content development and publication 

  • Knowledge and a foundational understanding of SEO audits, optimization, and reporting are preferred 

  • Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously 

  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements 

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients 

  • Excellence in grammar and professional writing skills is a must 

  • Must be able to work accurately with great attention to detail 

  • Must be a good communicator, working with other departments that provide services 

  • Experience with non-profits is a plus 

  • Ability to communicate a clear message 

  • Ability to encourage and persuade clients to try something new 

  • Ability to “sell” your ideas 

Minimum Education and Experience    

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Digital Media, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience 

  • Minimum 2 years of professional paid social media and/or Google Ads experience required 

Physical Demands 

  • Work is typically performed in a remote office setting 

  • Occasional travel may be required up to 5% 

  • Must be able to provide reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction free environment
