About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) is looking for an experienced Digital Product Manager to join the team. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy, roadmap and development of innovative digital products for HL. You’ll shape the product vision, gather requirements and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding digital experiences for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Set and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for your product areas, aligned to business objectives and client needs.
  • Lead journey digitisation and automation initiatives, replacing manual and paper-based processes and reducing client contact.
  • Drive measurable improvements in conversion, completion times and Net Ease, using funnel analytics and client insight to prioritise the backlog.
  • Use market research, competitor analysis and client feedback to identify new product opportunities and improve existing client journeys.
  • Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritising features and initiatives based on strategic impact, client value and technical feasibility.
  • Turn business requirements into clear product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation through to launch and optimisation.
  • Partner with operations and helpdesk teams to identify and remove avoidable contact, manual work and failure demand from transfer journeys.
  • Champion your products by communicating updates, benefits and value to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Monitor product performance using relevant metrics and data, identifying opportunities for improvement and future development.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships with key business partners.
  • Ensure products comply with relevant regulatory requirements within the financial services industry.

About you

  • You’ll bring proven experience as a Digital Product Manager, ideally within financial services or FinTech.
  • A strong understanding of agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • A track record of successfully launching and managing digital products from conception through to retirement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed product decisions.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in typical product stack such as Jira, Confluence and Amplitude.
  • A solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and design thinking.
  • Experience with asset management products and services would be highly desirable.
  • A self-starter who can shape their own roadmap and priorities without waiting for instruction.

Salary

The salary for this role is around £60k – 65k depending on experience.

Interview process

The interview process for this role consists of two stages, including competency and technical questions, along with a presentation.

Working Schedule

The Digital Product Manager role is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Bristol, BS1 5HL, and hybrid working is available, where you can work from home and in the office.
