Overview:
Alex + Ani is seeking a highly analytical, execution-oriented leader to oversee the day-to-day performance and growth of our Amazon business across the US, Canada, and Mexico, operating across both 1P and 3P models. This role is responsible for executing the key growth levers within the Amazon channel—including content, advertising, assortment optimization, promotions, and forecast accuracy—while partnering closely with Merchandising, Planning, and an external Amazon agency to continually enhance the customer experience, optimize channel performance, and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day execution of the Amazon business, driving performance across core levers including content, advertising, promotions, and assortment execution
- Review marketing assets and scope additional marketing needs in partnership with brand/creative teams
- Manage external agency in the execution of Amazon advertising and marketing campaigns
- Work with external agency to ensure products are properly set up on Amazon with appropriate images, copy, and content to support conversion and brand standards
- Maintain listing accuracy and content compliance across the Amazon catalog, monitoring for issues such as suppressed buy boxes or compliance flags
- Own the Amazon promotional calendar, including Lightning Deals, Deals, Prime Day, and Q4/holiday events, and other key retail moments
- Partner with Merchandising and Planning to ensure promotional readiness and execution excellence
- Monitor competitive and marketplace trends (pricing, share of voice, category shifts) to inform strategy
- Report on Amazon business performance, maintaining dashboards and KPI tracking for leadership visibility
- Partner with merchandising to assess and evolve the Amazon assortment
- Partner with the planning team to improve forecast accuracy and ensure sufficient inventory allocations for Amazon
- Monitor channel-level financial performance and flag risks/opportunities to leadership
Ideal Background & Experience:
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in growth marketing, ecommerce, or Amazon/marketplace channel management
- Exposure to, or demonstrated aptitude for, P&L concepts and channel profitability drivers
- Hands-on experience with both Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central, including familiarity with 1P and 3P selling models
- Familiarity with Brand Registry, A+ Content, and Storefront management
- Strong Excel and Looker skills, with the ability to leverage native Vendor Central/Seller Central reporting to inform decisions
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data and experimental insights into operational execution
- Experience partnering with merchandising and/or planning teams in a multi-channel retail environment
- Experience managing external agencies or vendor partners
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment
Preferred:
- Familiarity with FBA operations and retail compliance/chargeback management
- Working knowledge of Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display; DSP a plus)
